Side Brain and Paul Dateh Perform at Low End Theory LA Ever since moving to LA from Israel back in 2010, Yeuda’s dreamed of performing at the legendary Low End Theory. Low End has become to be one of the most influential venues in LA for electronic music and up-and-coming musicians, with the added bonus of seemingly random drop-ins by music legends, like Thom Yorke or Erykah Badu. So you can imagine Yeuda’s excitement when he was invited to play there with Paul Dateh. They pulled out all the stops for the show: In true Side Brain fashion, that means lots of controllers, including his original Nintendo 8-button and Power Glove. Side Brain and Paul Dateh Open for Steve Wozniak at NAMM Show 2015 The NAMM Show is one of the biggest music industry conferences in the world. For those who are not familiar, it’s basically the CES of music. Yeuda and Paul were honored to be invited to perform in arguably the most sought-after slot at the conference: Opening for keynote speaker, Steve Wozniak, AKA #thewoz. He’s the cofounder of a tiny unknown company. So Yeuda and Paul we basically the keynote for the keynote. 3,000 people, standing room only, at 8am..only at NAMM. Free Ableton Project from Side Brain Our instructor Yeuda Ben-Atar AKA Side Brain did an interview for Splice.com. Splice is an online service that’s lets you share and collaborate with other Ableton Live users (now also supports Logic and FL Studio users). Think of it like Dropbox but specially programmed for your DAW. What’s cool about Splice is that it keep tracks of all the changes each collaborator has done. So it’s easy to manage projects with multiple participants without worrying of someone deleting a good part of the track. It also keep track on the plugins you are using so you can tell which plug-ins you need to Freeze. As part of the interview Side Brain released a free Ableton Live project you can download.
