Regrader – FREE Lo-Fi Delay from Igorski
Igorski has released Regrader, a Lo-Fi Delay plugin, for free in VST format. We’ve covered Igorski’s tech before with an article on the VSTSID plugin he released a bit back and we’re excited to see what he has done this time! Regrader comes with a user interface reminiscent of an old Windows system that it has 5 sections – Echoes, Gravel, Horror, Warble, and Filter. The Echo section is the main control section for aspects of the delay like time, feedback, and mix. Gravel, Horror, and Warble all contribute to the effect’s more unique elements that will warrant crazy sounding results. Here’s what Igorski had to say about it,
Regrader provides a delay effect in which the repeats degrade in various ways to provide a malevolent twist on the ears.
Echoes disintegrate, are decimated, piercingly oscillate and are finally mangled into a sound reminiscent of a jet engine processing gravel. Each of the modules within Regrader has different routing possibilities to finely tune your carefully sculpted noise. Think industrial or dark sound design to find a purpose for the plugin or see what others say.
The delays repeats can be synced to the hosts tempo and time signature, and all properties of Regrader can be controlled and automated.
Right off the bat, you’ll see that it’s a pretty cool plugin, the interface is easy to fiddle around with and you can easily yield unique results. It is versatile in its strengths which give you a wonky junked up version of a delay, it definitely gives you the Lo-Fi feel.
Check out the video below to get a little taste of the plugin in action, and go to the Igorski website to get your free copy today! The download comes in a 9.3Mb Zip file that includes the VST and VST3 applications.
