Beat Lab Reviews – Fresh Tracks of the Week February 1, 2019
Hello again! Welcome back to Fresh Tracks of the Week where we share the hottest music of the week. This will be our second installment of the new format (twice monthly posts). We hope you enjoy the bonanza, listen below! Shakti – Crescendo Ethereal vocals , synthesizers and booming sub-bass open this track with great appeal. Halfway through we’re greeted with a fantastic horn melody which eventually fades into a build plus drop. The production on this song is as crystal clear as the waters of the Big Island from which the producer calls home. We’re as happpy to drop this on the dance floor as we are to bump it in the car. Listen below. Post Traumatic – Do You Like It Do You Like It is an electro-bass beat with a glitch-tastic twist. The beat features a horn lead along with crunchy synths which drop you into a …

Beat Lab Reviews – Fresh Tracks of the Week November 9th, 2018 Hello hello! Things keep on moving here at Beat Lab Academy and thus we have another round of Fresh Tracks of the Week. Scroll down to listen to this week’s hottest selections. We’ve got an emotional trap/pop song, an awesome house song, an EDM banger, a great psychedelic rock song, and a kicking lounge song. Listen below. su_divider top=”no” divider_color=”#d2d2d2″ size=”1″ Roland Greco – Gem Roland Greco lives up to the epicness of his name (really, it’s a hell of a name) with Gem. The production leaves little to want for, and his vocals are – pardon the pun – a gem. The lead up to the chorus is as powerful as the drop which delivers. There are fully modern pop chops oozing from every note and smack of the snare. We’re really excited to see where Greco will …

How To Get The Perfect Amount Of Bass When Mastering Audio We’re happy to announce a new partnership with MasteringtheMix, a website with amazing audio plugins. Beat Lab Reviews – Fresh Tracks of the Week October 5th, 2018 Welcome back! We’ve missed you. This week’s Fresh Tracks include a psychedelic rock adventure from Lukka, a dope trip-hop song track by Tensorplex, a laid-back funk song by Caius, a spooky indie song from Peeve, and a refreshing rap banger by TuReal. Listen below! su_divider top=”no” divider_color=”#d2d2d2″ size=”1″ Lukka – Black Hole Fusion “I am I am I am” is one of the lines repeated during this psychedelic sonic adventure from Lukka. What opens with an atmospheric drone and an eerie melody reminiscent of your favorite Saturday morning cartoon suddenly transforms into a trip down memory lane into the 60’s. The melody is taken over by a running bassline that supports the vintage sheen that engulfs the entire piece, and it’s delightful. The drums tie every instrument together and seal the deal on the old school feel Lukka is …

Led Zeppelin Copyright Infringement Trial For those of you who may or may not know, Led Zeppelin, one of the most influential and trend-setting rock bands in the history of music is currently on trial for copyright infringement. More specifically, they are being accused of lifting the opening of “Stairway to Heaven,” arguably their most iconic track of all-time from “Taurus” by Spirit, a late 60’s psychedelic rock group based out of Los Angeles. For all the die-hard rock fans that have been waiting for a Led Zeppelin reunion, I’m certain that this was not what they were hoping for or envisioned, myself included. Because the trial, “Michael Skidmore vs. Led Zeppelin et al.” is still currently ongoing, I feel I must reserve judgement. And considering my love for Led Zeppelin’s music and the sheer talent of the guitar prodigy known as Jimmy Page, it is personally hard for me …
