KINK Live Controllerism Routine

KINK Live Controllerism Routine   Among the numerous, seemingly infinite, ways to put together a live performance in Ableton is the art of live beat making. In the video below watch KINK, the Bulgarian based, broken beat virtuoso, put together a twenty minute live set. Mind blown. Hands down.   su_youtube_advanced url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WRfEKQYOJ8″ showinfo=”no” rel=”no” modestbranding=”yes”

Dehumaniser- Realtime “Monster” Voicing (Friday the 13th)

Dehumaniser- Realtime “Monster” Voicing (Friday the 13th)   Dehumaniser is a vocal processor that morphs your voice into beast like sounds in real time(!). Plug in an audio interface and hear a high quality vocal manipulation. Dehumaniser comes with various presets, like Mammoth, Rage Monster, King Kong, T-Rex and more.   Tweak your voice by altering the point position of a circle graph between five chosen presets. That way you can get more T-Rex than King Kong, or visa versa. The layout is generally pretty simple and after messing around for five minutes, or so, you can work your way around the processor pretty easily.   Record your voice and use it as an affective sample in any production. You can try the Dehumaniser Demo for a fixed fifteen minute use time, by downloading it from the link below. Check out the video for a sneak peak. Dehumaniser is available …

Viktor NV1- Free HTML5 Synthesizer

Viktor NV1- Free HTML5 Synthesizer   The Viktor NV-1 Synthesizer is a user friendly, online synthesizer. Whether you have a basic, or an in depth knowledge of how synthesizers work, the Viktor NV-1 is highly intuitive and simply laid out. You’re dealt a solid set of cards with 29 preset options ranging from the Accordion to an Underwater Water Bass Lead. The synth is set with the basics of three oscillators, a mixer, a polyphony component, a noise module, a primary and filter envelope, an LP filter and finally an LFO module. You can also tweak the compression, delay and reverb and master volume. (A number of presets.) The cool thing about these sort of free synths is that you can get a pretty unique sound with them. They’re clearly coming from a place of simplicity, though that simplicity is hard to replicate in some cases. Aside from that the sound quality is pretty …

Giving Tracks an AlterEgo- Voice Synthesizing Plugins (Free Download)

Giving Tracks an AlterEgo- Voice Synthesizing Plugins   AlterEgo is a new voice singing synthesizer plugin created by Plogue Art et Technology, Inc. If you are familiar with Plogue, you would know of their former plugin called Chipspeech. AlterEgo has a similar workflow to Chipspeech but offers less synth engines. AlterEgo is highly useful if you are looking to create a synthesized vocal melody. The AlterEgo download process is a bit fuzzy and getting everything going takes a couple of steps, so we attached a download tutorial below. Once you get daisy working the possibilities open up. The interface is user friendly. To get your computer singing, you simply type in a sentence and play, using a keyboard or midi interface. AlterEgo reads your sentence, syllable by syllable, note by note. You’re able to choose a voicing style from a load of presets seen above.   From there you can …

Syntorial- Learn Synthesis, The Easy Way

Syntorial- Learn Synthesis, The Easy Way   Syntorial is a highly interactive program that helps you understand how synthesizer programming works. Syntorial directs their attention towards the effect of controls on sound, rather than the science of how the sound is altered, which really allows you to dive into sound synthesis. The program itself sort of works out like an interactive YouTube video. What’s great about Syntorial is how user friendly the program is once you learn how to navigate through it. The program has video explanations of the lesson that is split with an interactive section for application. You are given two patches; the hidden and user patches, which you alternate between, attempting to replicate the given sound under the hidden patch.   The videos, unlike YouTube, are very well paced and well articulated. I found the ability to pause and shift to the interactive section allows for quick learning …
