Led Zeppelin Copyright Infringement Trial

Led Zeppelin Copyright Infringement Trial For those of you who may or may not know, Led Zeppelin, one of the most influential and trend-setting rock bands in the history of music is currently on trial for copyright infringement. More specifically, they are being accused of lifting the opening of “Stairway to Heaven,” arguably their most iconic track of all-time from “Taurus” by Spirit, a late 60’s psychedelic rock group based out of Los Angeles. For all the die-hard rock fans that have been waiting for a Led Zeppelin reunion, I’m certain that this was not what they were hoping for or envisioned, myself included. Remidi T8 – The Wearable Instrument

Remidi T8 – The Wearable Instrument Remidi has began a Kickstarter project with the goal of creating a fully wearable instrument. The T-8 is a pair of gloves with ultra sensitive sensors placed in 8 different spots around your hand, and two motion sensors placed on your wrist. By doing this you have the chance to program the 8 pads with sounds, and add effects to the motion sensors. The T-8 detects what to play based of what they call Air Modulation, which is pretty self explanatory. You are able to modulate your sound through air, by simply moving your hands with easy motion. The T-8 is also capable of switching between preset chosen scales which allows seamless transition from song to song. The only thing you need to play is a surface and some space.     The T-8 is currently available to those who back it on Kickstarter, so go …

Apple has developed an app to not only capture those moments with clean uncompressed audio, but to work off of those ideas, through an iPhone or iPad, right there in the moment. You are able to use Music Memo with your iPhone or iPad’s built in microphone or plug in an external microphone to record audio. (The app is optimized for guitar and piano but you can use other instruments as well.) The coolest part, what makes the Music Memo the Music Memo, is the intelligent audio analyzer. The app recognizes the feel of your audio recording and backs you up with a suggested chord progression and a synced up drum pattern.     Apple allows you to move your audio …
