Izotope DDLY – Dynamic Delay (Free Until March 10th)

Izotope DDLY – Dynamic Delay (Free Until March 10th)   Izotope is releasing there powerful delay plugin for free until March 10th. This particular delay is pretty nuts in its capabilities, designed in a way that splits two different delays between high’s and low’s, and can get really heavy and grimy, real quick. The DDLY has got a scroll bar on the left side which divides the sends of your audio between two delays, top and bottom. In both delays there are a set of five parameters, and two different modes: analog and grain. In the analog mode you can control the time of the delay, the feedback, the trash (which really gets the grime going,) a dry control and a wet control. For the grain mode you can control, the time and feedback, but are given an alternate option of pitch, size, and mix.     Another key feature in the plugin …

Orion Sound Module (Free Download)

Orion Sound Module   Sample Science recently released the Orion Sound Module, a sound rompler meant to free up CPU usage when sampling. A rompler is similar to a sampler, but lacks the ability record or create its own waveforms. Essentially a rompler is used to store recorded samplers. The Orion Sound Module is best described by Sample Science themselves below: The idea behind the Orion Sound Module plugin is to provide a rompler based on public domain samples that can be used to create royalty-free loops. At first, I made the plugin for my own loop production but I decided to share it with the world in the spirit of giving back to the community that gave me so much. The result is a 3gigs rompler full of great sounds that cover the basics: pianos, basses, percussion, world instruments, analogue synthesizers and modular synthesis. Orion Sound Modulesports a simple …

Glotch – Free Glitch Sequencer

Glotch – Free Glitch Sequencer   Artcraft has recently released a new Max for Live glitch-sequencer plugin called Glotch. The simple but useful plugin, is equipped with four different glitch functions, a standard high and low pass filter, a resolution knob, and a smooth knob, which all come together as a handy glitch-sequencer. The plugin is arranged in a grid with 32 beats, (eight bars,) that you can alter and assign to individual beats. You are able to shorten the loop of the glitch down to a single beat. Each bar is also equipped with a power and value parameter which effect how much of an effect the glitch parameters have over your sound. Glotch has a delay, reverb, and reverse effect, which are the most standard of the parameters. The most interesting would be the cyclo effect which is where the true glitch sound comes through. A randomization button is …

Apple Music Memos

Apple Music Memos   The musical process can be highly methodical or extremely spontaneous and in those spontaneous moments potential ideas can get long lost in the motion of a moment. Apple has developed an app to not only capture those moments with clean uncompressed audio, but to work off of those ideas, through an iPhone or iPad, right there in the moment. You are able to use Music Memo with your iPhone or iPad’s built in microphone or plug in an external microphone to record audio. (The app is optimized for guitar and piano but you can use other instruments as well.) The coolest part, what makes the Music Memo the Music Memo, is the intelligent audio analyzer. The app recognizes the feel of your audio recording and backs you up with a suggested chord progression and a synced up drum pattern.     Apple allows you to move your audio …
