Chain Selector Display – Live Performance Utility

Chain Selector Display Ableton’s Instrument Racks allows us to quickly switch between instruments in a Live Performance thanks to the Chain Selector. At the request of Flying Lotus (2020 Producer of the Year nominee), we have developed a custom live performance utility that shows the currently selected chain in a big pop up display. Keyfinder for Live – Key Detection for Ableton

Keyfinder for Live Ableton Live 11 has introduced the long-requested feature Comping. We are still waiting for pitch correction (Auto-Tune) and key detection (exp: Mixed in Key), until then, Max for Live to the rescue! In collaboration with Omar Costa Hamido, we created a Max for Live devices that connect with the free Keyfinder app from Ibrahim Sha’ath to give us Key Detection directly inside Ableton! Setup is fast and easy. And it even renames the clip with the key after it finishes the analysis. There are images of the Circle of Fifths and the Chamalot Wheel for easy reference to be used in Harmonic Mixing, sampling, and remixing. Simply load the device to an Audio Track. This class was developed for Moorpark College and Calarts during the COVID-19 pandemic to allow students to create Live Performances using only their computer keyboard.
